This epic monument was built by Vinay Singh in the memory of the ruler of Alwar, Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh, and his queen, Rani Moosi, who committed 'sati' (self immolation on her husband's pyre). The interiors of this fort are decorated with mythological paintings and frescos. This beautiful cenotaph shelter the tomb of the king, the queen and the entire area is supported by pillared sandstone. One can witness dancing peacocks in the complex of this building.
